I have a particular sweet spot for ISA's restaurant in the Marina District of San Fran. The owner Luke Sang named it after his daughter, Isa, and the food there is outstanding. Kind of a perfect combination of small plates/French/Asian and without being too fussy or misguided. The potato encrusted sea bass is phenomenal as are the seared scallops, lamb and a nice selection of salads with seasonal ingredients. The wine list is complete and the staff will help you pick out the perfect pairing.
Another great feature is the outdoor/covered patio seating, a treat since it is not always found in urban cities. I love the waiters there...fun and helpful, which makes the dining experience that much better. The crowd is a great mix of locals and people visiting. I know you will have a great time at Isa's and will want to go back the next day!!!
Don't forget to check out the video of Isa's at www.TenToe.TV. See you next time!
